A person may spend a long time searching an intranet, shared drive, or learning platform even when the information is technically present. Inconsistent labels, duplicate files, permissions, and outdated pages can all create barriers.
Design around the task
Use plain-language titles, consistent naming, clear navigation, current-version labels, search-friendly headings, and a visible starting point for common tasks. If many people cannot find the same information, the issue may be information design.
