Interest can be a strength
An employee may talk at length about a subject connected to their expertise, a project, or something that helps them feel engaged. From the outside, this can look like dominating the conversation or missing signals that others want to move on.
Use clear transitions
Set time limits when needed, use a respectful signal, offer a future time to continue, and make space for others. “I want to hear more, but we need to move to the next agenda item” is clearer than irritated body language.
