The requirement and the equipment are not always the same
Uniforms, gloves, safety equipment, and protective clothing may create difficulty through texture, heat, pressure, smell, weight, or restricted movement. A person may understand the safety requirement while struggling with the specific equipment provided.
Identify the actual barrier
Ask whether the issue is material, fit, temperature, smell, or movement. Where safety allows, explore approved alternatives, additional breaks, task rotation, or an equipment trial. The standard can remain clear while the route to meeting it becomes more workable.
