Repetition may point to a different concern
The first answer may not have resolved the underlying risk, uncertainty, or fear of making the wrong choice. The person may still need to know what happens if circumstances change.
Answer the concern underneath
Ask what remains unclear. A written decision, example, boundary, rationale, or review condition may help more than repeating the original answer.
Try this next
Ask, “What part still feels uncertain?” before assuming the person is being repetitive.
