A gap can create uncertainty
Between meetings, classes, or delayed events, a person may not know whether to rest, prepare, start something new, or wait for instructions. Unstructured time can create restlessness or difficulty shifting back into focus.
Make the expectation visible
Offer optional low-priority tasks, state whether a break is appropriate, explain when the next activity begins, or provide a short preparation checklist. Some people need recovery; others need a clear next activity.
